Volution Supplies Ventilation to Barratt’s Aldgate Place

Volution Group plc (LSE: FAN), a leading supplier of ventilation products to the residential construction market, today announced that it is supplying its products to Barratt London’s Aldgate Place, a stunning development on the doorstep of the City of London.

Volution’s Vent-Axia division is supplying 304 Sentinel Kinetic ventilation units for the first phase of the new Aldgate Place development. This mixed-use scheme is a flagship project which will create 463 homes in a mix of studios, one, two, three and four-bedroom apartments as well as luxury penthouses. Located in Zone 1, Aldgate Place has excellent transport links and is within walking distance of the City of London. The development includes private landscaped gardens, a 24-hour concierge service and fitness suite. Most homes feature a private balcony or winter garden to enjoy views across the Capital, including Tower Bridge and The Shard.

The Sentinel Kinetic BH is a pioneering mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR) system designed for new build properties. A whole house, multi-room ducted solution, this MVHR system combines supply and extract ventilation in one unit. Warm, moist air is extracted from ‘wet’ rooms through ducting and passed through the heat exchanger before being exhausted to the outside. Fresh incoming air is preheated via the integral heat exchanger which recovers more than 91% of the heat energy that would otherwise be wasted. With comfort key for occupants the system also features a ‘summer bypass’ to prevent warm air being re-introduced in summer months and an integral humidity sensor to control air humidity levels.

Ronnie George, Chief Executive of Volution Group plc said:
“We are excited to be part of the Aldgate Place development, a landmark project a stone’s throw from the City, which is set to transform the Aldgate areaHeat recovery ventilation is an essential factor for modern energy efficient developments, reducing excessive moisture in the air and combating condensation while providing good indoor air quality and comfort for occupiers.”
