Volution Group plc announce project win in Singen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany

23.06.15

Volution Group plc (LSE: FAN), a leading supplier of ventilation products to the residential construction market, today announced that it has won an order to supply its products in 49 rental housing units in the center of Singen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The project’s name is “Hegaustraße 49”, the private investor and building owner is Lorenz Knöpfli. It was planned by Ingenieurbüro Garczarek UG and the Architect is Wolfgang Hein, Singen. It included the installation of the recently launched inVENTer® PAX.

The project consists of one- and two-room apartments between 25 and 72 m². During the refurbishment and enlargement of the apartment building, improvements to the air-tightness of the windows and wall insulation were made, so mechanical ventilation with heat recovery became necessary. The units are located in the bathrooms and provide balanced heat recovery ventilation to each apartment. There were four main reasons to choose the inVENTer® PAX for this project: it sets itself apart from competitive products by its very low noise, its small dimensions, by the possibility to save complex fire protection measures and because it can be included in relation to KfW-subsidies.

In addition, one easy to install device can ventilate the whole dwelling for the majority of the apartments. In three larger apartments over 50 m², one inVENTer® iV-Twin was also added.

Ronnie George, Chief Executive of Volution Group plc said:
“We are excited to be involved in this, our first project in Germany using the new inVENTer® PAX. With improvements in airtightness and insulation during the refurbishment, the adoption of decentralized heat recovery will provide an energy-efficient, easy to install solution providing a healthy indoor environment for the occupiers.”
