Recent research carried out by the Dutch Government indicates that 50% of schools in the Netherlands fall below the building regulation requirements for ventilation. At the same time, new enhanced requirements have been established in the Specific Allowance for Ventilation in Schools (SUVIS) program which has been initiated to help reduce the risk of Covid transmission within schools. It is supported with €100 million of funding and schools can apply for the funding with a grant covering up to 30% of the cost of the installation.
Collaborate
To ensure quick and effective roll-out of the programme, close cooperation between the installer, advisor and the ventilation equipment manufacturer is required. Ventilair Nederland form part of the collaboration as an established supplier of ventilation systems and are able to offer advice on product selection and application for each specific school.
Solutions
Given the nature of retrofitting ventilation solutions into existing buildings, a combination of central and decentralised solutions are used dependent on the requirements of a specific application. Ventilair’s wide product range and advanced ducting systems enables well targeted and easy to install solutions.
Francois Chermin, Ventilair Nederland Managing Director commented:
“With this campaign Ventilair are actively engaging with advisors and installers and helping to select the best solution for each project. By taking a direct role with site surveys and being fully integrated into the team, we are able to ensure great results and clean fresh air for the students and teachers.”
